Bear Swamp Farm is a small Choose & Cut Christmas Tree Farm located in northern New Jersey. It has been owned and operated by the same family for over sixty years. The Christmas Tree plantation is about nine acres; the Christmas Shop is in the eighty year old log barn.

You can either cut your own Christmas Tree or you can purchase a huge pre-cut tree. In addition to trees, we make and sell hand made fresh garland, hand made wreaths, and bundles of fresh cut boughs.

The current managers of the farm, Roger Knight and Allison Hosford, are dedicated to organic farming and the preservation of open spaces. They are also the owners of Two Pond Farm, an organic farm one mile from Bear Swamp Farm.

As we have for the past years, we were open the three days after Thanksgiving from 9:00 am until 3:00 pm. By the end of the third day (Sunday) were sold out and closed for the 2024 season.

Because it is such a small operation, we do not accept credit cards BUT we have an onsite ATM!!!

We have a few simple rules that we ask every one to abide by:

1. For the safety of our customers and friends, ONLY hand saws are permitted. We have a limited number of hand saws available for us to loan to you.
2. For everyone's comfort and enjoyment every dog MUST BE ON A LEASH.
3. Due to the limited amount of our precious soil, we do NOT sell dug Christmas trees.
4. Because we cannot monitor our fields completely, we do not allow tagging of trees - we cannot guarantee that your tree will be there when you return.
